About Me

My career and passion began whilst I was in secondary school at my local station Corby Radio in my hometown. Originally interested in the world of radio from recording my voice onto cassette tapes at a young age, I discovered a training course at Corby Radio that helped to show teenagers the basics of recording, editing and broadcasting. On this course I learnt how to use the basic features of Adobe Audition and Myriad Playout, as well as writing advertisements and segues between songs in shows.
Immediately after I passed I was invited to become a tea runner and phone answerer for the competitions during the drivetime shows before being made in charge of the afternoon traffic and travel news broadcast on the same show, using Inrix to write scripts for live bulletins.

Afterwards I became a presenter for two shows, the Tuesday Evening Show and Corby Radio's Weekend Anthems.
Following on from my time at Corby Radio I became a warm-up DJ at a nightclub before moving to Salford for University and presenting a weekly show on National College Radio.
I'm always keen to learn and develop my skills as my career goes on, learning new software and techniques whilst also adapting how I work as the industry changes.
Through my experiences I have picked up the knowledge of how to use software such as Audition, Audacity and ProTools, Myriad Playout, PlayItLive and Sam Broadcaster whilst also learning how to mix music and create radio imaging such as jingles and graphics through Photoshop for promotional material.
